WARREN MASTERS

Warren is the Operations Manager and leads an experienced team of technicians offering a variety of services from consulting on procedures for broadcast transmission and infrastructure to installation of facilities, studio fit-out, operations and maintenance.

Warren has 35 years experience in a diverse range of electronic equipment which allows BSL to take on a variety of contracts outside of radio and television broadcasting. These included marine communications, closed circuit TV, and civil service projects. He has a Diploma in ICT and is involved with the design and installation of wireless LANs and WANs, including RF and Laser links.


JOHN DUNN

John has 40 years experience in all aspects of radio and television broadcast and production. He has managed outside broadcast operations for TVNZ and other major television networks and productions. John has been project manager for several projects where he designed and covered the installation of production facilities for TV and the corporate sector. He also provided full back up and maintenance support.

John is experienced in all the latest technological advances in video and audio equipment and operational procedures. This includes cameras and projectors which are supported by sophisticated analytical equipment and a comprehensive technical library. This expertise means that all technologies can be easily managed, and the most demanding projects undertaken.


GARY SHINGLES

Gary is the IT administrator for The Broadtech Group of companies and for our clients with maintenance contracts. Gary is an IT specialist with a Certificate of Business Computing and has been using computers since 1982. Gary administers several radio station's ICT needs, including the television station ICT monitoring, RF linking software and network security. This includes installation, configuration and maintenance of main servers, exchange mail servers and file servers and also the associated desktops, laptops and other computers as well as configuring and maintaing Radio over IP links for the Coastguard Northern and Eastern regions.

Gary has worked in and around the television and radio broadcasting industry since 1998, the majority with Radio 531pi in Ellerslie and Otahuhu. He was also involved with establishing the office and studio facilities of the National Pacific Radio Network with Niu FM in both the broadcast and IT infrastructure at their Otahuhu and Ponsonby studios and recently with their shift to new premises in Manukau.


NEIL DUNCAN

Neil is a broadcast engineer with 40 years experience in the radio and television industry managing projects both here and overseas. Starting with the NZBC and TVNZ he then ventured overseas to BSB and the BBC with projects in the UK, Asia, and Australia. Neil was involved with the JDA Freeview project for digital terrestrial television design and the installation of Harris transmission equipment throughout New Zealand. Another project undertaken by Neil was shifting Inflight Production to new premises, redesigning and installing their video and audio production suites.


BILL RIGBY

Bill is the senior workshop technician covering repairs in all aspects of radio and television broadcast and communications equipment. He covers the maintenance for the Manukau and Papakura District Courts, plus several radio stations, and the Coastguard marine network for the northern region. Bill has worked for 27 years in the electronics industry, starting in domestic TV and video repair and ran his own business for 5 years.

Bill has worked in the broadcast industry for the last 16 years maintaining AM, FM, and TV broadcast transmitters, STL transmitters and receivers, professional audio CD players, mini-disks, mixing consoles, both on-air and production, and all other associated electronic equipment. He is also involved in the ICT support and maintenance for our clients’ radio stations for their hardware and software needs.
